IQRA Database

The PISA database contains the full set of responses from individual students, school principals and parents. These files will be of use to statisticians and professional researchers who would like to undertake their own analysis of the PISA data. The files available on this page include background questionnaires, data files in ASCII format (from 2000 to 2012), codebooks, compendia and SAS™ and SPSS™ data files in order to process the data.

PISA Data Analysis Manual: SPSS and SAS, Second Edition
These two publications are essential tools for researchers, as they provide all the information required to understand the PISA databases and perform analyses in accordance with the complex methodologies used to collect and process the data.

The Data Explorer  allows you to create your own analyses and build reports from the IQRA data sets

Psyhcometrician Analysis

Rasch analysis is done using WINSTEPS version 3.68.2. Reviews of these items and instruments are given under the following eight titles:
• Reliability of IQRA instruments – equivalent to KR20
• Individual isolation (pupil) – indicator of instrument effectiveness dividing pupils
• Item Isolation – instrument effectiveness indicator
• Dimensionality – indicator of instrument validity
• Polarity – indicator of instrument validity
• Item fit – indicator of item matching with Rasch Model
• Item Difficulty – in logit unit
• Targeting (item-person map) – the indicator of the suitability of the instrument with the pupil (please refer to collection of papers for further details)
